2020 Petit Verdot
The region enjoyed an early start to the 2020 vintage, with warmer than average Spring temperatures evolving into the perfect summer growing conditions. Low disease pressure, timely flowering of the native Marri trees to keep the birds at bay and little to no rain meant that growers could literally “take their pick” when they wanted.
The fruit was picked 25th March at 13.9 Baume.
Vinification
Hand-plunged in open-top fermenters and with six days on skins followed by sixteen months in used French oak barriques.
The wine was bottled in December 2021 and sealed under screwcap closure.
